Why Comfort Is The Enemy Of Growth
Comfort rarely announces itself as a decision.
Comfort does not feel like a choice. It feels like stability, like maturity, like finally arriving somewhere sensible.
That is what makes it dangerous. Nobody wakes up and decides to stop growing. They simply keep choosing the option that requires nothing new, and one day discover that five years produced one year of experience repeated five times.
The signal is not unhappiness. Plenty of stagnant seasons feel fine. The signal is that you can predict the entire year in front of you.

Build a small deliberate difficulty into your calendar — the conversation you have avoided, the skill you are bad at, the room where you are the least experienced person.
